Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) I've found this exciting album by recommendation of "Can This Even Be Called Music?", and I'm deeply grateful for this pointer, since this is some exceptional music of a kind I don't bump into every day. I already wrote about the idiosyncratic approach this pair of musicians take in my comments to the twin album "Dual", and my words apply here likewise. Matt Garstka's tricky drum patterns, frequently making use of the snare drum in a most exciting way, once again are a feast for fans of polyrhythm, and Louis de Mieulles breathtaking musical constructions around those grooves constitute a perfect complement. Favorite track: Newton's Cradle.

Can This Even Be Called Music? The long-awaited latter half of Dual. Marvelous! ctebcm.com

Aakashdeep The best possible sequel to Dual. Much more tonally driven, while retaining the insane rhythmic power that was in dual. Can't put it down. Favorite track: Cyborg Birth.
